Medical Multiple Socket Outlet

For medical use, EN 60601 specifies that multiple socket outlets must either be operated via an isolation transformer or be secured against unintentional unplugging. The pull-out protection of the socket strips may only be opened with a tool.

Our multiple socket outlets consist of a robust natural anodized aluminum housing with a foldable, shatter-resistant aluminum profile as pull-out protection. This protection locks firmly and can only be opened with a tool.

The optionally available rail or tube claw can be removed without opening the socket outlet and mounted rotated by 90 degrees to change the orientation of the strip horizontally or vertically. The connection cable with angled Schuko plug is 2.5 m long as standard. In addition to standard variants, custom-made multiple socket outlets are also available.

Modular & customer-specific configuration

The medical multiple socket outlet can be assembled modularly from a wide range of components – including Schuko sockets, fine fuses, switches, potential equalization and country-specific socket types – to precisely meet project-specific requirements. Optional device rail and tube claws as well as integrated power supplies extend the application spectrum, and on request we also realize fully customized special designs for individual clinical applications.

Please note: after the left end plate with plug, at least one blank field L1 must be arranged.

Sockets or socket groups can be fused individually. Sockets from France/Belgium, Switzerland, UK, Denmark, USA, IEC320 and Schuko TNC are also available.

Yes, the socket outlet strip is manufactured to EN 60601 and therefore meets the safety requirements for electrical medical equipment.

Yes – models 17204 (4-way) and 17205 (6-way) provide individual dual-pole fusing for each socket. Models 17201 and 17203 offer dual-pole fusing for the entire strip.
